How Much CBD E-Liquid Should I Vape?

When it comes to using CBD, vaping is a delivery method unlike any other, and easily one of the most popular along with tinctures and edibles.  Vaping CBD e-liquid provides amazingly fast absorption into the body, as is the case whenever we inhale the compounds in the hemp plant, leading to effects that come on quickly and feel the most strongly in the body.

Anyone new to the world of CBD vaping might be unsure about how much CBD e-liquid you should vape in one session.  After all, with other delivery methods, there are clear dosing guidelines.  And, if you’ve never vaped at all before, you may find yourself wondering how many puffs is too little or too many.

Vaping CBD: Why it is Unique from Other Delivery Methods

Vaping is a delivery method that has only been around for a little over a decade, as vaping technology is still relatively new.  It involves a vaporizer device that utilizes a coil which heats the e-liquid, and therefore allows the CBD (cannabidiol) compound to easily absorb into the body through the lung tissue.  Besides its fast-acting and rather potent effects, it is also an extremely easy way to enjoy hemp throughout the day, as it’s a portable delivery method that can be taken anywhere, and provide you with a dose on demand, so to speak.

Different Forms of CBD E-Liquid You Can Try

CBD e-liquid comes in various forms, and while no form is better than the others objectively speaking, each CBD vaper typically finds that one sticks out as addressing their unique preferences.  Regardless of the form you choose, CBD e-liquid comes in various milligram strengths, flavors, formulations, and strains of the hemp plant.  You can also find CBD e-liquid in the form of CBD isolate, full spectrum, or broad spectrum varieties.

  • Bottled CBD Vape Oil: CBD-infused e-liquid that is sold in a bottle, and it is only to be used with a vaping system that requires manual filling of a tank or cartridge.
  • CBD Vape Cartridges: Considered by many to be enormously popular, as they are easy to use, reliable, and come in a huge variety of options in terms of strength, strain, flavor etc.  These are small cartridges that attach to a CBD vape pen, and are disposable, being replaced when the e-liquid in the cart runs out.
  • CBD Disposable Vape Pens: CBD disposables are the most user-friendly choice as they require zero maintenance or effort.  They consist of a vaping device with a fully charged, built-in battery, and pre-filled e-juice cartridge already attached.  The e-juice is vaped until it runs out, and the battery never needs to be charged.

Deciding How Much E-Liquid to Vape Per Session

So, what is the right amount of CBD e-liquid to vape per session?  Well, there really is no clear-cut answer.  Generally, one to four puffs count as a single dose, with one puff being ideal for beginners or those who want a small amount of cannabidiol, and four puffs being ideal for someone who wants a stronger hemp experience.  Most users start out with one puff and slowly increase their dosage as needed.

Figuring Out the Milligram Strength Per Dosage

We said that CBD e-liquids vary in terms of milligram strength.  The milligram strength of a CBD e-juice refers to how many milligrams of pure hemp extract are in the liquid formula.  If you want to be more exact with your dosage, you might want to figure out how many milligrams are in a single puff of vapor to maintain consistency as you explore different vaping products.

Companies that make various CBD e-liquid products typically display the number of total milligrams of hemp that are in the formula.  To figure out how many milligrams are in a puff, first you will need to divide the number of milligrams in the total product by the number of milliliters.  For instance, many bottled vape oils come in 30ml bottles.

Example: Say you have a 30ml bottle of e-liquid containing 1000 milligrams of hemp.  Using this formula, you would have 33 milligrams of hemp per milliliter.

Once you determine how many milligrams are in a milliliter, you will need to divide that number by 100 because each milliliter provides approximately 100 puffs.  Now, you will be able to easily figure out how many milligrams of pure hemp you’re getting each time you hit your device.

How Much CBD E-Liquid Can You Vape in One Day?

Now, you have an idea of how much CBD e-liquid to vape per session.  But how many vaping sessions can you have per day?  Well, that is up to you.  When we vape cannabidiol, the effects tend to wear off within an hour or so, because of how quickly this delivery method allows the compounds to clear out of the system.  What this means is that your dose will not last all day long.

Ultimately, you can vape your CBD e-liquid at any point during the day, multiple times daily, if you want to.  Some people like to maintain a certain level of cannabidiol in the body throughout the day, and so they will take a puff or two every hour or so.  Others prefer to vape their CBD in the evening, perhaps after work when they wish to relax, and don’t feel the need to take hemp at any other time.

In other words, how many doses of CBD e-liquid you have within 24 hours is up to you.

Can You Vape Too Much CBD E-Liquid?

Naturally, people who are new to vaping CBD often wonder whether or not there is such a thing as “too much.”  It is important to know that CBD is nontoxic to the human body, as is the hemp plant as a whole.  Therefore, vaping too much is not associated with harm.

Most people who vape unusually high doses of CBD e-liquid find that it just makes them sleepy.  Of course, this could be an issue if you are in the middle of a busy workday or you need to drive.  Therefore, always start with a low dose and only work your way up as needed.

CBD E-Liquid Offers a Unique Way to Experience the Effects of Cannabidiol

No matter which type of vaping product you choose, the dosing guidelines are basically the same.  And, ultimately, figuring out how much CBD e-liquid you will need to experience the desired results, is simply a matter of trial and error, as everyone is different. Ultimately, it isn’t that hard to figure out what works for you.
